This book is the German version of ‘2000 Essential Korean Words for Beginners’ and is a beginner’s Korean vocabulary that supplements existing textbooks to help German-speaking learners learn Korean vocabulary more easily and smoothly. We selected 2,000 essential beginner-level words that appeared in textbooks used by nine university-affiliated Korean language education institutions and two private learning institutions in Korea, and included 14 thematic classifications, headwords, and example sentences useful in real life. We tried to convey the exact meaning of Korean vocabulary by indicating German translations for German-speaking learners in headings and example sentences, and added various related vocabulary such as synonyms, antonyms, honorifics, deferential words, related words, and reference words to help increase vocabulary. The MP3 CD contains sound sources that read the headwords and example sentences with standard pronunciation, allowing learners to hear and speak the correct pronunciation of the words.
