◆ 놀이 수업의 재미와 관찰의 즐거움이 입증된 ‘딩동~ 도감’ 시리즈!

“아이 내면에 잠재해 있는 무한한 호기심을 이끌어내고, 아이 스스로 보는 것만으로도 관찰이 되고 집중력이 높아지는 도감!”이라는 기치를 내건 ‘딩동~ 도감’ 시리즈! 2017년 8월부터 출간하기 시작한 ‘딩동~ 도감’ 시리즈는 우리 아이들 손에 스마트폰이 아닌, 아이가 호기심을 갖고 스스로 자연을 관찰할 수 있도록 하는 것이 그 취지입니다.

그동안 ‘곤충’, ‘거미’, ‘새’, ‘젖먹이동물과 개구리, 도롱뇽 그리고 뱀’, ‘해안동물과 물고기’를 비롯하여 우리와 함께 살아가는 반려동물 ‘개’와 ‘고양이’, 어린이들이 좋아하는 ‘공룡’과 ‘고래’ ‘상어’에 이어서 동물원에서 만날 수 있는 친구들을 한자리에 모은 ‘동물원 도감’, 그리고 아이들의 대통령 뽀로로와 펭수의 친구 ‘펭귄’, 드넓은 바다에는 사는 ‘바다동물’과 바다의 주인공 ‘바닷물고기’, 우리 주변에서 사계절 꽃을 피우는 ‘풀꽃’을 소개했습니다.

차곡차곡 쌓인 이 시리즈를 접한 아이들은 물론, 학부모님, 유치원과 초등학교 저학년 선생님들이 놀이 수업의 재미와 관찰의 즐거움을 한껏 누리게 되었다고 반가워합니다. 이제 열여섯 번째 주인공으로 우리 아이들이 꼭 한 번쯤 등에 올라타 어루만지고 싶거나 달려보고 싶은 말, 74종을 소개합니다.

최근 들어 여가 활동으로 즐기는 승마와, 전신운동은 물론 정신적인 안정감과 사회성 향상을 기대할 수 있는 치유법으로 재활 승마(승마 치료)에 대한 관심이 높아졌습니다. 말과의 교감을 통해 흥미와 자신감, 동기부여, 판단력, 집중력 등을 높여준다는 연구 사례도 많고, 말과 교감하면서 마음을 치유하고 위안을 얻는 내용의 영화도 제법 있지요. 이처럼 말은 우리의 든든한 반려동물입니다.

Recently, there has been a growing interest in horseback riding, which is enjoyed as a leisure activity, and full-body exercise, as well as rehabilitation horse riding (riding therapy) as a healing method that can be expected to improve mental stability and social skills. There are many studies showing that communication with horses enhances interest and confidence, motivation, judgment, and concentration, and there are also quite a few movies that heal and comfort horses by communicating with them. As such, horses are our strong pets.
