023년 12월, 크라우드펀딩 플랫폼 ‘와디즈’ 사이트에서 3억 원이란 경이로운 모금액을 달성한 〈달의 연인-보보경심 려〉 작가판 무삭제 대본집이 출간된다. 종영 후 7년이 지났음에도 프로젝트가 등록되자마자 1억 원이 모이며 실시간 랭킹 1위를 차지하고, 종료 후에도 재펀딩 요청이 천 건 이상 쇄도하는 등 7년이 넘도록 변치 않는 화제의 수작임을 확실히 했다.

20부작을 각 10회씩 2권으로 나누어 담았으며, 방송에서는 편집되었던 ‘화제의 엔딩 씬’까지 수록해 팬들의 기대감을 더했다. 왕소 역의 이준기 배우가 유튜브 〈문명특급〉에 출연해 ‘해수와 왕소가 현대에서 만나는 씬을 드라마 엔딩으로 찍었다’고 언급해 많은 팬들을 애달프게 했던, 바로 그 씬이 대본집을 통해 최초 공개된다. 이렇듯 방송 편집본, 미촬영본 등을 모두 포함한 완전한 ‘작가판 무삭제 대본집’이다.

드라마의 여운이 대본집에서도 그대로 이어지도록 미공개 컷을 비롯한 고화질 스틸 46장을 명대사와 함께 포토에세이 형식으로 구성해 수록했으며, 드라마 종영 이후 처음으로 진행된 작가·배우(이준기·아이유) 인터뷰를 수록해 작품에 더 깊이 다가가는 계기가 될 수 있도록 했다. 1권 면지에는 조윤영 작가, 김규태 감독, 2권 면지에는 이준기·아이유 배우의 친필 사인을 인쇄 수록해 소장 가치를 더했다.
