박덕은 작가의 수필집 ‘창문을 읽다’를 영어와 한국어판으로 엮은 책!

각종 문학상에 빛나는 주옥같은 수필들을 소개합니다!

독자들은 50여년을 문학을 위해 올곧게 살아온 저자의 주옥같은 28편의 수필들을 만나 볼 수 있다. 각종 문학상 수상 작품들로 꾸며진 이 책은 책을 읽는 독자들에게 한줄기 청량한 바람이 되어주리라 생각한다. 저자는 이 수필집에서 사랑과 이해를 말하며 지나쳐 버린 과거의 후회를 이렇게 이야기하고 있다.

한동안 나는 산자락 동네에서 산 적이 있다. 거긴 거대한 당산나무가 세 그루 있었다. 하나는 할아버지들이, 다른 하나는 할머니들이, 나머지 하나는 청년들이 차지하고 있었다.

아침부터 해거름참까지 할아버지 할머니의 시선들이 거기 주구장창 머물러 있었다.

무료한 눈길들은 지나가는 행인이 간혹 나타나면, 모두 그곳으로 시선을 일제히 집중시키며 그냥 그렇게 세월을 보내곤 했다.

그 무렵 나는 굳게 결심했다. 나는 저 당산나무 밑으로 가지 않겠다. 그 대신 시를 쓰고 수필을 쓰고 동화를 쓰겠다. 무료한 눈길은 우울증을 데리고 다닐 테니까.

지금 10여 개 문학회에서 내가 맡고 있는 문학 강의는 대부분 시 창작이지만, 어쩌다 한 번씩 수필을 써서 독자들에게 평가받곤 한다. 그러다, 이렇게 30여 편이 모이게 된 것이다. 이를 한자리에 모아 수필집 ‘창문을 읽다’로 펴내게 되다니, 감회가 새롭다. 괜히 눈물이 난다.

어리석고, 무디고, 연약하고, 후회스러운 추억들도 많지만, 나름대로 보람 있게 살아온 과거가 곁에 와서 위로해 주는 지금, 이 수필집이 주는 행복감이 생각보다는 크게 여겨진다.

Readers can see 28 essays like the author's gem that have lived upright for literature for more than 50 years. I think this book, decorated with various literary award-winning works, will be a refreshing wind for readers who read the book. In this essay collection, the author talks about the regret of the past that has been passed by, saying love and understanding.

For a while, I have lived in a village at the foot of the mountain. There were three giant Dangsan trees. One was occupied by grandfathers, the other by grandmothers, and the other by young people.

From morning to sunset, the eyes of grandfather and grandmother remained there.

The boring eyes used to spend the years just like that, focusing their eyes on the passers-by occasionally.

At that time, I made a firm decision. I will not go under that Dangsan tree. Instead, I will write poems, essays, and fairy tales. If you look at something boring, you will bring depression.

Most of the literature lectures I am currently in charge of at more than 10 literary societies are poetry creations, but I write essays once in a while and are evaluated by readers. About 30 volumes were gathered like this. It feels very fresh to be able to gather all these together and publish them into an essay collection called "Reading the Window." I cry for no reason.

There are many stupid, dull, fragile, and regrettable memories, but now that the past of living with a rewarding life comes and comfortes me, the happiness of this essay collection is considered greater than I thought.

Les lecteurs peuvent voir 28 essais comme la pierre précieuse de l'auteur qui ont vécu debout pour la littérature pendant plus de 50 ans. Je pense que ce livre, décoré de diverses œuvres primées littéraires, sera un vent rafraîchissant pour les lecteurs qui le liront. Dans cette collection de dissertations, l'auteur parle du regret du passé qui a été passé, disant amour et compréhension.

Pendant un moment, j'ai vécu dans un village au pied de la montagne. Il y avait trois arbres géants de Dangsan. L'un était occupé par des grands-pères, l'autre par des grands-mères, et l'autre par des jeunes.

Du matin au coucher du soleil, les yeux de grand-père et de grand-mère y sont restés.

Les yeux ennuyeux passaient les années comme ça, concentrant leurs yeux sur les passants de temps en temps.

À ce moment-là, j'ai pris une décision ferme. Je n'irai pas sous cet arbre. J'écrirai plutôt des poèmes, des essais et des contes de fées. Si vous regardez quelque chose d'ennuyeux, vous apporterez la dépression.

La plupart des conférences littéraires dont je suis actuellement responsable dans plus de 10 sociétés littéraires sont des créations de poésie, mais j'écris des essais de temps en temps et je suis évalué par des lecteurs. Une trentaine de volumes ont été rassemblés comme ça. C'est très frais de pouvoir rassembler tous ces documents et les publier dans une collection de dissertations intitulée « Lecture de la fenêtre ». Je pleure sans raison.

Il y a beaucoup de souvenirs stupides, ennuyeux, fragiles et regrettables, mais maintenant que le passé de vivre avec une vie enrichissante vient et me réconforte, le bonheur de cette collection de dissertations est considéré comme plus grand que je ne le pensais.
