[The Little Prince] was first published in English in New York, USA, not France, Saint-Exupéry's home country. All of Europe was engulfed in the flames of World War II. Two months after that, it was published in French as well as languages around the world, and [The Little Prince] began to convey a message of hope to people all over the world. This book reproduces the design of the first edition in 1943.
