[법대로 사랑하라]는 대형 로펌을 박차고 나온 김유리가 자신을 오래도록 짝사랑해온 고등학교 동창 김정호의 건물에서 로(Law) 카페를 차리며 본격적인 이야기가 시작된다. 로 카페 의뢰인들의 고민은 드라마를 보는 우리들의 고민과 그리 다르지 않다. 층간 소음, 청소년 따돌림 및 폭력, 아동 방임 및 학대, 가족 간 유산 다툼, 산재 등 죄질이 아주 무겁지만 주변에서 심심치 않게 보게 되는 사건들이다. 다만 현실과 이 드라마의 다른 점이 있다면 딱 하나. 모든 문제가 속 시원하게 해결된다는 것! 두 주인공이 은하빌딩 식구들과 막힘없이 정의 실현하는 모습을 보고 있자면 막혔던 곳이 뻥 뚫린 것 같은 통쾌함은 물론, 우리들의 삶에도 희망의 싹이 피어오르는 듯하다.

이 드라마의 또 다른 재미는 주인공들이 해결해나가는 ‘법정 사건’과 남녀 주인공의 서사가 긴밀히 연결된다는 점이다. 즉, 어느 한 장면도 허투루 쓰지 않았다는 것. 표면적으로는 단순한 법정 에피소드 같아 보이지만, 그것의 본질은 항상 두 주인공의 문제, 관계, 서사와 맞닿아 있다. 그중 압권은 섬마을 ‘중평도’로 법률 무료 상담을 간 유리와 정호가 할머님들의 문제를 함께 해결해주는 장면이다. 그간의 사건에는 은근한 연결고리를 넣어두었다면, 해당 신에서는 대놓고 관계성을 터트리며 법정 로맨스물의 묘미가 무언인지 제대로 보여주고 있다. [법대로 사랑하라]는 한 번 보는 것으로 끝내기보다는, 대본집으로 수많은 연결고리들을 찾아 음미하며 읽을 때 그 진가가 더욱 발휘될 것이다.

The essence of a courtroom romance that was properly shown!

The realization of love and justice is refreshing without obstruction

The story begins in earnest when Kim Yu-ri, who left a large law firm for [Love by the Law], sets up a Law cafe in the building of her high school classmate Kim Jeong-ho, who has had a crush on her for a long time. The concerns of the clients of Raw Café are not so different from those of us watching the drama. Noise between floors, bullying and violence against teenagers, neglect and abuse of children, disputes over inheritance between families, and industrial accidents are very serious crimes, but these are incidents that are not boring to see around. However, there is only one difference between reality and this drama. That all problems are quickly solved! Watching the two main characters achieve justice with the members of the Eunha Building without any blockages, it is exhilarating as if a blockage has been cleared, and it seems that the buds of hope are sprouting in our lives as well.

Another interesting aspect of this drama is that the 'court case' that the main characters solve is closely connected to the narrative of the male and female protagonists. In other words, not a single scene was wasted. On the surface, it looks like a simple courtroom episode, but its essence is always in touch with the problems, relationships, and narratives of the two main characters. Among them, the highlight is the scene where Yuri and Jeong-ho, who went to the island village ‘Jungpyeong-do’ for free legal counseling, solve the grandmothers’ problems together. If a subtle connection was put in the case so far, the scene openly shows the relationship and shows the beauty of court romance. [Love by law] will be more valuable when you read it while looking for numerous connections through the script book, rather than just watching it once.
