In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Yoon Dong-ju's death in 2025, "Fifty Poems by Yoon Dong-ju for Korean Learners" is a book that selects 50 poems by poet and independence activist Yoon Dong-ju, who represents Korea, and presents them at the level of foreign learners.
This book selects 50 poems suitable for elementary to intermediate Korean learners in stages among Yun Dong-ju's poems. All the poems have been translated into English, helping learners who are not fluent in Korean to challenge reading and understand the contents. Since the main vocabulary that appears in the poem is presented separately along with the English translation, learners can use it to interpret the poem on their own.
In addition, it is possible to learn Korean by reading explanations of the main grammar that appeared in the poem and solving practice questions. In addition, explanations that help understand the content and structure of the poem, such as the creative background of the poem, additional grammar explanations, and rhetorical explanations, were provided so that one volume could catch two rabbits: language learning and understanding literary works.
All 50 poems can be heard by professional voice actors through QR codes, and Yun Dong-ju's poems can be written by hand using the poetry transcription notes provided as a separate supplement. Let's practice Korean pronunciation and rhyme practice while listening to the sound source and reading along, and practice writing Korean while transcribing poetry.
